Christians Make Friends Online According To ChristiaNet Poll
Christians Make Friends Online According To ChristiaNet Poll
Houston, TX (PRWEB) February 14, 2007
ChristiaNet.com (http://www.christianet.com), the world’s largest Christian portal with twelve million monthly page loads, asked readers to participate in a new poll by answering the question, “Do you prefer to make friends online?” Numerous Believers love to make new Christian friends online. An excited reader writes, “Yes, I love to communicate with others and share Jesus with all!” Bill Cooper, President of ChristiaNet says, “It is possible to meet good Christian people online and more than that, it is also possible for Believers to encourage and minister to one another.” (http://www.christianet.com/christianpenpals/)
Out of 310 participants, 141 responded “yes” to the survey question. Some Believers are finding themselves at home more and have fewer opportunities to meet new people. The Internet is making it possible for these Believers to develop friendships with other Christians. To make friends online is seen by many readers as a unique way to meet, especially when some of these people are located in other countries far away. One Believer wrote, “Over the past eight years I have met hundreds of friends online. I still write to over 100+ people and have been invited everywhere from Africa to Ireland and in between!”
Ninety-six readers prefer making Christian friends face-to-face. One reader portrayed a positive attitude by sharing, “I prefer to make friends, whether online or not, what is important is making friends.” Some of the participants in this group may prefer face-to-face friendships but they aren’t against using the Internet to make friends online. Readers in this group overall seem to be a little more suspicious of acquaintances online simply because they cannot witness body language and feel that it is harder to judge if someone is sincere when they can’t be seen.
Seventy-three participants were unsure about making Christian friends over the Internet. The readers with this group share some of the same concerns as those who answered no to the survey question. One reader shared a concern by stating, “It is good, but most of the time we do not keep them…” It may be a little harder to connect in person with friends that are made online but does that mean that those friendships may not last as long as face-to-face friendships? Some readers think so. For more information, visit: http://www.christianet.com/articles/

Making Penpals Best Reason to Join Social Networks According to ChristiaNet Survey
Making Penpals Best Reason to Join Social Networks According to ChristiaNet Survey
Houston, TX (PRWEB) November 8, 2006
ChristiaNet.com (http://www.christianet.com), the world’s largest Christian portal with 12 million monthly page loads, conducted a recent survey, asking 161 participants, “What penpal features do you like the best.” Having a one-on-one communication tool is attractive to many readers. One participant said, “I like all the features on ChristiaNet. It is a great place to meet fellow Christians. I like the clean environment.” Many people like the feature of being able to add friends to a list and email them easily. For those who don’t receive many messages Bill Cooper, President of ChristiaNet suggests, “Sometimes members need to start making friends by emailing other members first.” (http://www.christianet.com/christianpenpals/)
An enjoyable feature mentioned by participants is the ability to see someone’s picture. Reading profiles of other members is very intriguing and helps to provide something to jump start communications with making friends. One member said, “The birthdays for the day, gives me opportunities to communicate with lots of people.” The ecards are another favorite feature cited by ChristiaNet members. There are many constructive ways to use penpal features to build social networks.
One excited reader thinks that it is fun to communicate with others online because it is an opportunity to get to know people from different cultures and share God’s faithfulness. It is also a great way to receive support from others through sharing and asking for prayer. One participant feels that making new friends online is great but having a feature to block certain members from social networks can be very useful. Unfortunately some people try to use penpal sites for scamming. To avoid this type of interaction, read a person’s profile very carefully before initiating contact.
Some of the favorite things that were mentioned by respondents were the prayer room, the Bible quizzes, easy to use email and because it is free. One believer likes the capability of making friends and extending social networks beyond a local area. A common response from readers is the enrichment of using penpal features to develop friendships that lead to edification through confession and prayer. One person loves online communicating to share God’s faithfulness. This survey shows that many Believers feel that their lives are enriched through using online penpal features. Penpal and Christian Penpal
Having a penpal
can be fun; bringing diversity into your friendship circles, and
a having a Christian penpal can bring support and encouragement
into your life. A penpal is someone that you correspond with,
getting to know each other through personal writing. Many
relationships have been discovered through the avenues of
writing to others in another town, another state, or across the
world. A penpal is one way to build and maintain life-long
friendships.
In today’s technical world, the Internet offers a wonderful
option for finding penpals. Anyone can find a penpal in minutes
over the Internet. There are several Penpal websites that host a
variety of services for penpals and have penpal related
activities. There are also Christian oriented websites that give
Christians an opportunity to meet, write, or chat with a
Christian penpal.
Having a Christian
penpal can bring additional support and comfort into your
life. Christian penpals will generally share the same interests
and there is the common ground of Christ to begin to build a
relationship upon. A Christian penpal can offer wise advice, a
special someone to share concerns with, and someone to share
your passions for Christian living with. Having a Christian
penpal is also a great way to receive and offer accountability.
Finding a penpal can be thrilling. In the penpal chatrooms
available on the Internet, you can find someone who has the same
interest that you do and that someone could be: young adult, an
older person in the golden years, man, woman, and so on. Having
a penpal allows you to create a relationship that can evolve as
slowly or quickly as you want it to. A penpal, or Christian
penpal of the opposite gender can sometimes evolve into a
relationship that leads to dating, or that leads to even marriage
If you are looking to join a dynamic group of Christian
individuals to chat with for support, dating, marriage,
Christian penpal or simply for friendship purposes, you will
want to check out the many Christian websites that offer
Christian penpals and chat rooms. ChristiaNet.com offers a
wonderful Christian penpal service for anyone looking to expand
their friendships globally, or anyone looking for a serious
friend to share their life with. Be sure to visit ChristiaNet’s
Christian penpal services.

Free Penpals Found Through Social Networks According To ChristiaNet Poll
Free Penpals Found Through Social Networks According To ChristiaNet Poll
Houston, TX (PRWEB) February 15, 2007
ChristiaNet.com (http://www.christianet.com), the world’s largest Christian portal with twelve million monthly page loads, asked readers to participate in a new survey by answering the question, “Have you used a penpal site to make a friend?” An overwhelming majority responded “yes” to the survey question. Out of 313 responses, there were 207 participants who have made friends through social networks on the Internet. One of the Believers wrote, “Via ChristiaNet, I have made over 60 friends from locations all over the world.” (http://www.christianet.com/christianpenpals/)
The survey reveals that Believers are hungry for fellowship with other Christians. Online forums provide a way for God’s children to come together, not only to make new friends, but to minister to one another. Many readers have a need that is fulfilled through social networks. One Believer stated, “I need someone to talk and relate to, someone who can give me advice.” It is evident through the results of this survey that a multitude of readers enjoy using free penpals to meet new people. Comments show that Believers also find joy in becoming prayer partners with other Christians.
One hundred readers answered “no” to the survey question. There were various reasons given by readers in this group as to why they haven’t used free penpals online to make new friends. One reader wrote, “I have plenty of friends already!” Some readers confessed that they have just never tried it. Bill Cooper, President of ChristiaNet, suggests, “Some Believers use social networks as a way to share their love for Jesus, and give encouragement to other Christians.”
There were only 6 participants in this survey who were unsure about free penpals. Comments were limited with this small group but the responses show that some readers who are unsure about making new friends online just haven’t had any success at doing so. Since the responses in this survey overwhelmingly show that many readers have had success making friends on the Internet, it might be worth the effort to keep trying. Certainly, the Lord wants us to have fellowship with other Believers. Consider what this participant had to say, “It takes time for a friendship to form, but a penpal through extended contact can eventually become a really good friend.” For more information, visit: http://www.christianet.com/articles/
