New Fiction Novel Poses a World in Which Aliens Do Exist
New Fiction Novel Poses a World in Which Aliens Do Exist
Maitland, FL (PRWEB) February 15, 2012
Mars and other life forms have been a popular topic of discussion for many years, not only in the scientific world, but also around families’ dinner tables. Could aliens be real? John R. Prothro’s new book, Voices, Voices, Voices ($ 15.99, paperback, 978-1-61904-724-2; $ 25.99, hardcover, 978-1-61904-725-9; $ 7.99, eBook, 978-1-61904-726-6), is a story based on a young astronomer who is desperately seeking to end the long awaited contact with aliens and takes it upon himself to fashion a message from space. With the help of a computer whiz sidekick and some unexpected help from demonic forces, the message goes public. Prothro’s book is not just about aliens, however; he also instills a message in his prose that will challenge readers and urge them to seek out the voice of God above all else.
“[I hope readers] who are not certain of their relationship with God [will be] confronted with the Gospel of Jesus Christ [and] those who have assurance in their relationship with God [will be] challenged in their faith [and are able] to face the deception of Satan,” states the author.
John R. Prothro graduated from college with a degree in engineering; he worked as a Junior Engineer for a couple of years, but ultimately decided that he had been called to work in ministry. He changed direction and entered the seminary to train for the ministry and since then has ministered in both large and small churches. At the age of seventy-six he retired and found the time to complete books he had started ten years prior.
Xulon Press, a division of Salem Communications, is the world’s largest Christian self-publisher, with more than 8,000 titles published to date. Retailers may order Voices, Voices, Voices through Ingram Book Company and/or Spring Arbor Book Distributors. Witch or Herbalist? ‘Ursula’ is Finally Returned Home and Laid to Rest in the Essex Village of St Osyth
Witch or Herbalist? ‘Ursula’ is Finally Returned Home and Laid to Rest in the Essex Village of St Osyth
(PRWEB UK) 18 November 2011
Ursula Kemp, like many women of the time made a humble living through attending births, wet nursing babies and treating the sick with herbal potions and lotions. Unfortunately when Ursula’s services were rejected by a pregnant neighbour in favour of another ‘midwife,’ she exchanged such harsh words with the mother to be that when the young baby went on to die by allegedly falling from its cradle it was suspected a curse had been placed on the infant. After that villagers began to suspect that Ursula could treat or induce sickness and lameness at will and she soon became a prime target for the ‘Witch Hunter’, landowner and magistrate Brian D’Arcy.
Elizabeth Bennett was also implicated and according to archives the two of them along with twelve other St Osyth natives, were tried at Chelmsford Court on 29th March 1582. Although held in Colchester Castle and tried in Chelmsford, the place of their execution is not clear. It may have been Chelmsford but it wasn’t unusual for women accused of witchcraft to be hanged in their village and then buried in local unconsecrated ground.
In 1921 two skeletons were discovered in a garden by a Mr Brooker, a tenant in St Osyth carrying out some building work. One skeleton was badly damaged. The bodies were clearly not near a burial ground and Mr Brooker having some knowledge of the history of witches in the village decided to cash in by arranging visits from local people wanting to see the ‘witches’ skeleton. Only the house burning down in an unexplained fire in 1932 halted the interest in what was now believed to be the body of Ursula Kemp and the remains were reburied at the site.
More than 30 years later redevelopment prompted the deliberate, but now believed illegal, exhuming of the skeleton but this time there was little interest in it becoming a local attraction and the bones were sold to the Witchcraft museum in Boscastle owned by witch and pagan Cecil Williamson who promised he would safeguard her and not allow her exploitation again. However, before Williamson’s death he sold the museum but interestingly ‘Ursula’ was not included in the sale. Her last ‘owner’ was the artist and eccentric Robert Lenkiewicz who had a fascination for obsessions including witchcraft and the occult. Lenkiewicz kept Ursula on display in his library along with the embalmed body of a local tramp. A prolific painter and also lover, Lenkiewicz’s life was rather complex and when he died heavily in debt the skeleton of Ursula became tied up in the wrangles of his estate.
Documentary maker John Worland and co-director of the 2007 film Witch Finder, based on the Matthew Hopkins witch trials, has been tirelessly researching the history of Witches in East Anglia in the 16th and 17th centuries. It is thanks to him that now Ursula’s rather unfortunate life, death and subsequent journey has been unearthed. John spent many hours negotiating to have her remains released by the trustees of Lenkiewizc’s estate and from then he began to explore the process of what he and many others believe is the right end to Ursula’s journey – a peaceful reburial back in St Osyth. John, with the help of carbon dating, can prove that the skeleton does date back to the 16th century and that there are indeed remnants of iron nails in her bones.
Working closely with St Osyth Parish Council, a plot with a north-south orientation was located in unconsecrated land and on April 15th with both Pagan and Christian representatives present, the skeleton of ‘Ursula’ was finally laid to rest as a poignant and symbolic gesture for her and her fellow accused.

Author, Experimental Psychologist Quentin Newhouse, Jr. Pens Story to Inspire Pet Rescue
Author, Experimental Psychologist Quentin Newhouse, Jr. Pens Story to Inspire Pet Rescue
Montreal, Canada (PRWEB) November 23, 2011
People have kept cats as pets for thousands of years, dating back to the ancient Egyptians who considered cats to be spiritual, even deities. But it seems that humans and cats are having more difficulty coexisting in today’s world. According to the ASPCA, up to 7 million animals enter animal shelters each year, and approximately 70% of the cats in animal shelters are euthanized. Hoping to reconnect people with their pets, Dr. Quentin Newhouse, Jr. releases Hope, the Big Headed Cat: Not Just Another Animal Story (published by WestBow Press), a new non-fiction book for young readers and pet lovers.
Hope, the Big Headed Cat was inspired from Newhouse’s own life. He says, “The book chronicles the four month period during which I rescued and interacted with a critically ill adopted cat. During that period, I discovered that the cat evidenced spirituality, sensitivity and was sicker than I thought.”
Newhouse is an advocate for shelter animals, arguing that not only can people save the lives of animals but also that animals are equally important to people’s lives. After adopting Hope, Newhouse realized the pressing need to adopt shelter animals. “One can learn from anyone and anything,” says Newhouse, “even a sick cat.”
Readers are given a glimpse into the healing power of the friendship between Newhouse and his adopted cat in his new book, Hope, the Big Headed Cat.
About the Author

Newhouse, a career educator who has taught for more than 10 universities and colleges, is also a life coach and poet. She showed courage and faith in the face of numerous physical handicaps. Although deaf, with heart and kidney problems, Hope ministered to him through her unselfishness and devotion. Newhouse had previously always loved dogs and had two cats for a brief time. He also never realized that God can minister health to anyone through anything, even a sick cat. Hope had spirit and always showed love.

Hiya there !! I will give you advice be yourself and no one else and the right women will come for you.. It’s not hard to do that!!! You will attract the right women soon.
What do you think? Answer below!
Christian Dating – Find That Special Someone Today!
For a long time, you have been dreaming of that person you want to spend the rest of your life with; the one you will grow old with, who will love you for who you are and what you believe in. Maybe you’re looking for someone with whom you transcend the usual physical and emotional compatibility level; someone with whom you share something that’s beyond looks and feelings – your faith. And for someone like you, who believes that the Lord has prepared just one person for you, maybe you ought to try Christian Dating.
Some people take faith or spirituality into consideration when looking for a partner in life. They want to be with someone who will respect them and their beliefs; who has the same priorities and who will understand their zeal for service in their Christian community. Thus, they look for individuals in their own community, or in the same level of faith and spirituality and try to establish a deep friendship with them – one that is rooted on love of God. Thus, Christian Dating was established and accepted by believers of the Christian faith.
Christian Dating allows young men and women to explore the dating scene, while still following the rules of their congregation. They meet members of the opposite sex who share some common interests and hobbies, build Christ-centered friendships with them and engage in worthwhile activities that will make them get to know each other more, and grow in their faith in the Lord. That way, they continue to mature as a man or woman of God, while cultivating in their romantic relationships. If they succeed in finding the perfect partner for them, they can get married in a Christian ceremony, and the rest is history. More often, Christian couples endure and stay in longer relationships because of their level headedness and shared faith.
As opposed to ordinary dating, Christian Dating is viewed to be safer because of several reasons. First, most of the members or participants of this dating service have the same background, same community and usually the same beliefs. Christian parents might have urged their Christian sons and daughters to get to know some single men and women who they think will be a good match for their children. Usually, these participants are of legal age to date.
Second, participants of Christian Dating have the same conviction, especially on the topic of sexuality and purity. Relationships formed through Christian dating are less likely to engage in sexual activities outside of marriage, and taking a stand against pre-marital sex is easy for these young individuals. They also steer clear of vices like drugs and alcohol; instead they nourish their souls and personalities with productive activities like serving their Churches, and feeding on the word of God.
So, if you are a Christian who’s looking for a serious, Christ-centered relationship, or still want to explore and meet other single men or women who have the same faith and conviction like you do, then maybe you should try Christian Dating. Who knows? God might be already cooking the perfect love story for you and another good Christian out there. Keep the faith, keep looking and keep praying!
